Programs It’s that time of the year again, when we would like to welcome everyone back for another year of “super” athletic opportunities. We have plenty scheduled for this year including; Soccer, Basketball, Bowling, Track & Field and Pre-school activities. Please contact us for more information.
Soccer Soccer Clinics were held this year in September and October. The Clinics were held at various Colleges and Universities throughout the state. The 2 hour clinics were held during the school day and accommodated approximately 65 athletes per site. Clinicians were comprised of college team players as well as the team coaches. All the athletes in attendance were awarded Certificates of Achievement and were also treated to drinks after the clinics. New Jersey City University Soccer Coach, Mr. Cris DaSilva, a former Professional Soccer player from the NY/NJ Metrostar ’s was excited to have our athletes return to NJCU this year. Coach DaSilva and his players put on a wonderful clinic for our students on and we look forward to a super clinic again next year. We were excited to return to all the colleges and universities this year for clinics. We were especially anxious to see Coach Jim Moore at Georgian Court University. Georgian Court has a new athletic facility and athletic field and our athletes eagerly awaited the chance to “break in” the new field. Basketball Basketball Clinics for the 2009 season were completed in April. The 2008 Basketball Clinic season had a great response with over 600 students attending various clinics held at colleges and universities throughout the state. We were excited to see the Coach Valerie Curtis from Georgian Court University again this season. Coach Curtis ran 2 super clinics and had her entire team turn out in full uniform. The children loved it. We also were very surprised to see our dear friend and staunch supporter retired NJCU Men’s Basketball Coach Charles Brown when he visited our clinics this year. Coach Marc Brown, the new coach, had asked his father to attend our clinics. We were all very happy to see him. Our clinic at Rowan University was “super fantastic”. After the clinic attended by both Men and Woman’s team players, the children were thrilled to see a Slam Dunk show that the Men’s team put on. The children were excited to see the shots. |
